What is WhyVault?
A notebook for the why behind your decisions that any AI agent can read and keep up to date.
WhyVault is a hosted Markdown vault with a ready-made structure and a built-in MCP server. You connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other agent that speaks MCP. The agent reads your context before it answers and writes back what was decided.

Create an account on the sign-in page: enter your email address, open the link in the email, pick the template or an empty vault. The Free plan covers 20 of your own notes, and you can switch to Pro any time in your profile.
The problem
Every AI tool has its own closed memory. Claude knows what ChatGPT doesn't, and none of it belongs to you. If you carry several things at once, you lose most of your time getting back in: coming back after two weeks and knowing within five minutes why something was decided.
The idea
- One vault, every agent. An open standard (MCP), no favorite vendor. The knowledge is yours, the model is replaceable.
- Structure instead of a blank page. You can start your vault with a proven folder structure and a system area that tells every agent who you are.
- The agent writes, you stay in control. Every change is versioned, visible and reversible.
