WhyVault as a custom connector in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile.
Available from the beta launch. Guide as of September 2026.
Once set up, the connection works in Claude in the browser, in the desktop app and on your phone.
Add the connector
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. Enter WhyVault as the name and paste the MCP address from the app.
Sign in and choose permissions
Claude opens the WhyVault sign-in window. Sign in and choose read only or read and write.
Turn it on in the chat
Turn on the connector in the chat through the tools menu. Ask, for example: "What does my vault say about my current project?"
The free Claude plan allows only one custom connector. If you already use another one there, you have to remove it for WhyVault.
